Why You NEED a Vacation!

Why You Should Take a Vacation!

Latrice here! It’s time for me to go on vacation again! I’m tired, stressed out, and I need a change of scenery. For some reason, people think that they can handle stress, but stress can cause you to lose your life! That’s right, STRESS can be a killer in our lives. That’s one of the reasons why we need to take vacations.

It has been proven that stress will increase our chances of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and numerous other fatal illnesses. Taking time out of our busy schedules to relax on a regular basis could literally save our lives. Planning short vacations is one way to make sure that we get away from work and our daily routine to help us reduce our level of stress. In other words, vacations are the ultimate STRESS KILLERS!

I have found that shorter breaks are more of a stress reducer than longer trips! Shocking huh? I enjoy being near the ocean and the sound of the waves and the smell of the salt water makes me feel like all is well in the world. I don’t think about anything else, but what I am doing at that time. Sometimes I call ahead and book a hotel room and other times, I just hit the road and get a hotel when I arrive, you know, being spontaneous.

Every six months, I am going to start marking my calendar for a three day vacation. I work for myself at home so I do not have to make arrangements with a boss or check with other people's schedules to be able to plan my time off. I will share with you some of my best vacation planning tips tomorrow. I assure you, it's worth your time to come back! Until then, check out www.discountedtravel.info, get some vacation ideas, and book your own stress killing trip. You need one! Until next time, Bye!

The Beautiful Caribbean II

Hi guys! If you have read my first blog about my experience on the cruise, here is the rest! But, if you haven't had a chance to view it, you have to go back and read it so you want be lost. Okay here we go.

After that, we went down to our staterooms, which were very nice and spacious. On the bottom bunk bed, they had a dog shaped out of a white towel, wearing sun glasses. Til this day, I have no idea how they did that. On the night stand, we had a bucket of ice with a champagne bottle in it. Our glasses were on the side, along with a plate full of huge chocolate covered strawberries! I can taste them now. Each pillow contained a single piece of chocolate, wrapped in gold paper and I ate every one of them. It was enough room for 4 people and had no problem getting around.

We went to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island, Cozumel, Mexico, and Del Rio. I can still remember the glistening sand, clear blue water of the ocean, the wonderful breeze as the sun shined gently on my back. We took tours, snorkeled, swam with dolphins, ate outstanding food, drunk out of pineapples, and we danced to the island music. The cruise was 7days and 6 nights and we did just about everything that you can imagine. We even had formal nights on the ship. We dressed up in very expensive dresses and ate steak and lobster. Anything you wanted, they prepared specially for you!

I can go on and on about the fun I had, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. You have to go on a cruise! It is a must! We are now in the season to jump aboard and time is ticking! The closer you get to the cruise date, the more specials they promote to fill up the ships. The best place to go for discounts on top of discounts is, Discounted Travel. Better yet, I know of this travel agent that specializes in cruises, resorts, international airfare, etc. Call 769.251.6137 and ask for one of their friendly staff to assist you with your travel needs. The Beautiful Caribbean

“Ladies and Gentlemen, wave your glasses as we sail into the beautiful oceans of the Caribbean’s.” I tell you, when I heard the captain say those words, chills ran down my spine with excitement and joy! Open up your mind as I tell you one of the best vacations in my life and I promise that you will want to go!

My first cruise was in 1999. The cruise ship was humongous! I was only 16 years old at the time, so you can imagine how crazy that was. I saw a ship on television, but it did the ship no justice. It was absolutely breath-taking! There were 12 decks and each one of them had a different theme. We were told to go on the Lido Deck, which is the 11th floor. The staff was playing music and dancing around. In fact, there was a band playing some great music and everybody was dancing. Waiter and Waitresses came around to each person and asked if they wanted a drink and put a lace over our head. I got a virgin Pina-Colada for free, but it tasted like some liquor was in it. So, I asked, “What kind of party is this?” A woman turned around and said, “Sweetie this is what we call a Bon Voyage Party! As soon as she said that, the captain blew the ship’s horn and it was loud! We partied until we dropped.

That’s all the time I have right now. Sorry! I know it was getting exciting. But, check back tomorrow and I will have more to tell you.
